Terry Friedman always dreamt of bringing world-class golf to Southern Indiana, a marriage of the game and the home that gave him so much joy.
In 1998, he made that dream a reality, and in less than a decade, Victoria National Golf Club has taken its place among the most elite golf courses in the country. “America’s Best New Private Course of 1999” now ranks #22 in Golf Digest’s “America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses,” and #25 in the Golf Digest Index “50 Greatest Golf Retreats.” The course at Victoria National was designer Tom Fazio's sixth private course, and his 10th Best New win from Golf Digest, the most any architect has won in a single category.
Since its founding, Victoria National Golf Club has become a haven for a select group of discerning golf purists who share Terry’s vision, including the rest of the Friedman family: his wife Irma, our CEO; son Rick, President; daughter Lisa, General Manager; and daughter Cheryl Tougias, clubhouse architect. As you can tell, Victoria National Golf Club is rich in history and has a strong heritage of beautiful land, dedicated family, and unparalleled golf.
